So at the annual meeting last night, we unfortunately did not yet have enough votes for quorum on the covenants/bylaws changes. There was an approved motion to extend voting for two more weeks to get us the rest of the way there so any vote by 11/22 will count for the covenants/bylaws changes. Please reach out to the board for a chance to get your vote in. Copies of the changes are on the website and the dues increase will be waiting until next year.
This year’s annual meeting will be at 7pm on November 8th, 2020 at the clubhouse. Topics for this year’s annual meeting will include voting on new version of the Covenants & Restrictions and Bylaw documents, elections for open Executive Board and Board of Directors positions, review of the 2021 proposed budget, and an open discussion on the issues facing the homeowner’s association. If anyone is interested in a position on either board, please contact a current board member for more information. More information on early voting opportunities for those that are unable to make it to the meeting will be posted soon.
The new versions of the Bylaws and Covenant have been posted at the bottom of each page for review, please use the links below and scroll down to the pdf files posted near the bottom of the page. Pool - The Executive Board has come to terms on a modified agreement with Northland Pools for the operations contract for this summer. The details of the modified contact will be discussed at the meeting this Sunday, September 13th. As part of the agreement, the pool will be open through Sunday, September 13th. School hours will be used this week, 4pm to 8pm T-F, and 11am-8pm Saturday and Sunday. The remaining work on the pool will be completed once the pool closes next weekend.
Garage Sale - The neighborhood garage sale will be this weekend, September 11th and 12th. Willow Farms is also having their sale as well. The neighborhood signs will be posted tomorrow, and anyone is welcome to participate. At long last, the post you have all been waiting for – the pool has passed inspection and the pool will be opening Friday, July 31st at 11:00 am. The water is a balmy 80 degrees. The updated pool and covid-related rules are attached to this post.
There are a few items to address before questions come up. First, the deck paint will be finished overnight one of the next few days it is dry enough. The red coping concrete around the main pool is not to the standard of the baby pool so we have already agreed to have it completely redone once the pool closes for the season, along with a second coat of deck paint, and the pool cover installation. We are also still working on the landscaping inside the pool fence. Right now, we are planning to be open at least through Labor Day with a possibility of staying open a bit longer (TBD). There will be board members at the pool Friday afternoon, July 31st to activate key cards from at least 1-4 pm. Additional times will be posted as needed. If you do not have an active card, you will not be allowed to swim. Please ensure the key card comes with your swimmers, as the guards are not allowed to open the gate for anyone (even if they know you are a resident). Finally, be patient as we get the lifeguards used to our pool – the rules may have been different where they have been working so far this summer. Please send either myself and/or the board an email with any questions or concerns. Thanks for your patience!
