CITY SERVICES & UTILITIES


City Services

New Mark is located with in the city limits of Kansas City, MO.

    - Lots of useful links and information about the city services and government.

311 Website or Phone
    - This the city Action Center for most city services and can be accessed via phone or the internet.  Use this as a point of contact or a means to report issues with city services.

Garbage & Recyling
  • Curbside garbage and recyling pickup is every Monday unless there is a city observed holiday or inclement weather, in which case pickup is pushed to Tuesday of that same week.
  • All items should be place near the curb by 7am the morning of pickup.
  • Each household is allowed two standard size bags of trash each week.  Additional trash tags can be purchase at local
    Price Choppers or Westlake Ace Hardware stores.
  • There is no limit on recyling.  A list of accepted items for recyling can be found here.
  • Glass is not accepted curbside, but can be dropped off at a recycling bin located in the Sun Fresh parking lot at North Oak Trafficway and New Mark Drive.​
  • The city offers a trash amensty week twice a year (usually first week of July and the last week of December) where there is no limit to the number of trash bags that can be placed curbside for pickup.
Bulky Item Pickup
  • The city has a free bulky item pickup service that runs once a month via appointment only.  Follow the link here for more information.
Leaf & Yard Waste
  • The city offers curbsite leaf and yard waste pickup twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring.  This is limted to 20 leaf/lawn bags per household.
  • There is also a yard waste dropoff site located at 11660 N. Main Street (NE corner of Northeast Cookingham Drive and
    North Main Street) which is free of charge on Saturday for residents.
